Soriana Sofa / Dark Grey | 2-Seater

Designed in 1969 by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, the Soriana Sofa and armchair challenged conventions with its relaxed form and absence of internal structure. Instead, its sculptural padding is gathered by a visible metal clamp — turning compression into elegance. Produced by Cassina and awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1970, Soriana marked a radical departure from rigid frames, embodying a new design language of softness in Italian postwar design.
